6.7L Cummins Turbocharger Issues

If you’re a 6.7 Cummins owner I’m sure you have experienced, or read of someone experiencing turbocharger problems. When the issue starts, you will notice your exhaust brake is not working, when this happens there is usually a check engine light present, but not always.

Then there is always the dreaded “exceeded learned limit” code. This means the VGY has lost its original timing and has most likely jumped a tooth. The thought of installing a new actuator may have crossed your mind, however this is not a real solution. It’s more like a Band-Aid on an ax wound. The underlying issue is the VGT in the turbo is mechanically sticking. changing the actuator may make the code go away temporarily.

Our fix for this issue is the Fleece Performance Cheetah turbocharger. They manufacture this VGT turbo from the 2007.5 model year to current.

Some of the features of this turbocharger:

  • Fleece Performance Exclusive 63mm FMW Compressor Wheel Technology.
  • Brand new actuator with no actuator calibration programming required.
  • Maintains all OEM factory turbocharger functions including exhaust brake and warm-up.
  • Capable of supporting vehicle modifications up to 700 RWHP
  • 2-year Limited Warranty
